About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Node.js (JavaScript) and or .NET (C#) engineer/developer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming. A Full Stack Developers (FSD) are responsible for developing and designing front-end web and mobile architectures, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside planners and designers for system features, amongst other duties. Full-stack developers will be required to see out a project from conception to the final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Full Stack Developer Responsibilities:

  • Developing front end website architecture.
  • Designing user interactions on web pages.
  • Developing back-end website applications.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.
  • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
  • Working alongside planners and designers for system features.
  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
  • Designing and developing APIs.
  • Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
  • Staying abreast of developments in web and mobile applications and programming languages.

Full Stack Developer Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in software development or computer science.
  • Previous working experience as a Node.js (JavaScript) and or .NET (C#) Developer for +/- 3 years.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
  • Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
  • Documenting of processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Ionic, and React.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages such as .NET Core and Python.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.

Terms of contract:

  • Permanent Employment (Subject to your probation period).
  • Port Elizabeth Employment.
  • 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.
  • The schedule(s) is ‘deadline-driven i.e., on occasions when deadlines are tight, work may be required outside these hours.
